Yogasleep
Yogasleep started back in 1962, somewhat by chance. Jim Buckwalter and his wife Trudy traveled together for Jim’s job as a traveling salesman. Trudy was an insomniac and started to realize that she slept much better when on the road in motel rooms than she did at home. They finally realized that the lull of the motel room air conditioners helped with Trudy’s insomnia. Jim went to work in his garage to try to recreate the noise an air conditioner makes and finally did so by using a turntable motor and a small fan blade that he placed inside a dog bowl and on top of a disc of foam-covered wood. His friends and family members tested it, loved it and wanted one of their own. That’s how Yogasleep got started. To date, over 4.5 million Yogasleep sound machines have been sold, and the company has expanded to provide mattresses and scent items designed to help you get better sleep.
